Eco-action

Our universal interconnectedness is part of the discussion in the art room - how does what we do impact others and our world? Sample questions asked are: "If there was no more advertising in this world-what would we want?", and "When we talk about  throwing something away - where is away?"


​The use resources and materials is an ongoing conversation. We talk about consumerism, "wabi sabi" (the beauty of imperfection) and learn how to repair things in class. Outside of the class the Eco-action Group has taken awareness anther step farther by school wide campaigns, holding informative assemblies, creating a zine about environmental issues, offering documentaries at lunch, encouraging biking to school, and challenging the drinking of bottled water.
